The Coaching Process

Who, What, Where, When, How of Coaching

Who is a MOH! Coaching client?  Do you want more out of life, personally and professionally?  More success, clarity, balance, prosperity/profitability, a greater impact?

Clients come to me motivated to make positive changes.  They bring a sense of humor, and are already taking responsibility for their lives.

Definition of Coaching:  

Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

 

Where?  In person, phone, cyber (email, instant messaging)

How long?  A few clients are able to get what they want in a month, others want the advantage of retaining my coaching services for years; most work with me for 3-6 months.   Length of coaching sessions ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

What is the coaching process-how would we work together?

1.      ASSESSMENT:

Who/where are you now, and where/who do you want  (and your organization) to be?

 Is there a gap you want to close between the two? 

Goal: Clarifying values, goals, purpose, mission, vision; raising awareness.

Tools: client welcome pack, any assessments the client has already completed, additional assessments if desired; your coach’s questions, deep listening, and constructive feedback.

 

2. DEVELOP A PLAN AND/OR PROVIDE A SOUNDING BOARD

The developmental plan continues to be honed and revised during the coaching process as your coach provides an objective, creative perspective.

Leaders and others talk through (staff) issues with their coach, using the coach as a sounding board.

3. IMPLEMENT THE PLAN/PROVIDE FEEDBACK

Your coach provides accountability, focus, support,

challenges your thinking and existing practices,

brainstorms through obstacles,

and celebrates your successes.

4. ACHIEVING YOUR DESIRED OUTCOME 

5. ASKING QUESTIONS NO ONE ELSE IS ASKING 

in the time frame you have chosen.!

Confidentiality: What we discuss stays between the two of us unless you choose to share it with someone else.

Payment: Due at the 1st  of the month for the coming month.  Fee depends on scope of the coaching, travel, etc.
